Bev Banter

Introducing a new segment of PD: Bev Banter! Here we will be posting the all-too-frequent improper diction and syntax of everyone's favorite English teacher, and translating it.

I truly apologize for not thinking of this sooner.

OK, so here's a few Bevisms of late to get you started:

-RABACK ORAMA
-STANZERS
-SID ARTHUR

I see you scratching your head over there. No worries. That is a natural reaction to Bevisms. You usually won't see three at one time like that, so I'm sorry for springing them all on you. Now let me clear things up and hit you with the translations:

-BARACK OBAMA
-STANZAS
-SIDDHARTHA

Starting to make sense? That's OK, it;s not supposed to.

Look forward to more Bev Banter to come.

(No McDonalds were harmed in the writing of the post.)

Olivia Mirabella: High School Student or Rockette?

Perhaps you remember my pal Olivia from the video posted a couple weeks ago starring her and her sleep-talking habits (that was real sleep-talking by the way - I've gotten a couple of inquiries about that - all real stuff). Anyway, our favorite little starlet was on the PIX morning news Monday! Her dance team was shown practicing their routine for their Orange Bowl performance. Look for her in the second row and the second one from your right.

Quelle impressive!

procrastiNATION: DRANKK edition

So, as Casey had mentioned earlier, the idea of a website for procrastinating is something we all need, but luckily these blogs have done all the work for us. What else is better, is that we've provided the best ones for you right here on PD! However, I must give credit where credit is due, and that is to my APBiology teacher who hooked me up with the majority of these sites.

These are all hilarious, each one is worth scoping out.

Ouch Charlie! AUTOTUNE REMIX

Genius. I died.

Alright, so 2 latina posts are about to go down:

The first is an article about YouTube signing a deal with Univision, so all you biddies can catch your novellas on YouTube. Now you don't have to worry about remembering to Tivo Sabado Gigante...

The funniest part though is that the title of the article is TuTube...I giggled anyway.

Secondly, if you havent seen the Chongalicious video..you really should.
Basically, the inspiration behind this (besides Fergie) is the abundance of cheesy cuban women/girls in the Miami/Hialeah area. Its hilarious mainly because its so true, but anyone not familiar with chongas will probably still get a kick out of it.

Take That 5-Dollar Footlong

Jersey Mike's is hosting a fundraiser for a food drive for children. I'm not sure of the details, but I do know that if you bring in any donation of money to J-Mikes (on 35 south) you get a free half a sub! Woo! But don't be greedy and give like 50 cents. It's for kids who can't afford to eat, so try to be generous. And you'll be rewarded with lunch on JM!

The Fattest, I mean, Happiest Place on Earth

So I survived one week in Disney World...It was a struggle. Lots of family bonding, lots of fat people from Ohio/Texas, lots of Southern Drawls. Luckily I was sippin on Arnold Palmers all day everyday.

Some things really irk me about WDW though-like why do grown people insist on taking pictures with characters? Um, HI creepy?! Also, people walk around in ridiculous Disney gear (hats, fannys, khaki shorts galore) and I'm not just talking midgees.

What I can give them credit on though is their expert way of making money. Those lanyards for pins? GENIUS. So much money is wasted on overpriced crap there, its an inspiration, really. So American.

And although there was meat lurking around every corner, every restaurant and chef was very accommodating to our vegetarian needs.

Now of course I documented some of my trip for my DRANKKers, so here are just a few shots from the week:

We saw the Magic Kingdom decorated for Halloween AND Christmas! Kinda Legit...

Watched many a 3D show...

Encountered Silly Hats...

Stayed at the Hilton Tuscany on International Drive...

Played Some Super-Sized Chess...

Had a Photoshoot Waiting for Our Cab...

Hung Out with Everybody's Favorite Mice...

And Saw a Reeeeeeeeeally Big Golf Ball...

Peace, Love, and Mickey Mouse.

Christie: Dunkin Donuts Favorite Governor

Okay, I'll try my hardest not to get too political on PD, 'cause we all know this is for ess's and gee's BUT come on NJ...really?

All I'm gonna say is, if he can't restrain himself from super sizing his value meal, how are we gonna expect him to restrain from drowning in NJ corruption? I smell a Jersey version of Bush...and it smells a lot like waffles.

.....This is when the slow clap begins.

I'm Not Dead

Okay, okay, I'll admit it, I've been slacking, but I am working on a serious Disney -themed Drankk post, so hold your breath!

Jam Wit Me Mon

I'm currently downloading music by Michael Franti & Spearhead. It's reggae, which is out of the norm for me, but I'm kinda really into it. You've prob heard their most popular song "Say Hey (I Love You)." It's on the cheesy side, but it's fun. Check it out!
